About RECtv

Reader’s Entertainment online television was created by Circle of Seven Productions, the creators of Book Trailers®. Circle of Seven Productions (COS Productions) created REC TV as an entertainment outlet for readers.

REC TV goals include –

  1. To promote reading as entertainment
  2. To promote reading as educational
  3. To actively promote reading to youth
  4. To supply entertainment to both traditional and non-traditional readers
  5. To inspire people of all ages to read
  6. To educate people about the publishing industry
  7. To offer readers a way to learn more about authors
  8. To help aspiring authors through educational and inspirational programming
  9. To help equate books as entertainment on the same level as other forms of entertainment such as video games, traditional television programming, music and motion pictures.
  10. To assist the philanthropic endeavors of COS Productions

REC TV utilizes original programming such as The Lonesome Losers comedy series, author interview programs, documentaries, industry news shows, production partner project programs and any other forms of online entertainment that have anything to do with books and/or reading.

ADVERTISING

REC TV is a new online television station, so currently, stats for the site are not available. REC TV does have an aggressive advertising campaign in place that includes advertising to readers via our affiliates, USA Today online ads, MySpace and other online advertising. Statistics will be available by November 2007.

REC TV operates through sponsorship, donations and by selling ad space. Donations are not tax deductible, but help to pay for the creation of original shows meant to entertain readers. Donations can be made via PayPal to - payments@cosproductions.com

Sponsors can pay for individual genre-pages, individual programs or entire seasons (10 weeks is one season) for REC TV. Sponsors are highlighted on the site, and on the sponsored genre-page or within a TV player as a video acknowledgement. Sponsorships are announced via a sponsorship tagline at the beginning or end of the sponsored video.

  • The Lonesome Losers - $5000 per season or $500 per episode
  • Author Interviews - $1500 per author (author must approve sponsorship)
  • Documentaries- $300 - $500 per show (a list of available documentaries available upon request)
  • News - $200 (5 minute program) - $300 (10 minute program) per show or $1000 per season

Advertisement opportunities are available in many forms.

Podcast placement $25 per month for each genre-page or $50 per month for the main REC TV homepage. Sorry, we have a limit of 5 podcasts per page.

Featured Blog (RSS feeds) - $25 per month for each genre-page or $50 per month for the main REC TV homepage. Sorry, we have 5 spots for blogs per page.

Video feature – All videos must be pre-approved by COS Productions and can run at any length from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. These can be book video, industry news, vlogs or other video advertisements. We will run video ads separate from normal programming and only 5 videos per month per page/station. - $100 a month per video

Homepage video placement - $250 per month

Genre-page/station - $100 per month

Book Links – These are static jpgs with a single link. There is a limit of 3 Book Links per page per month. All Book Links are $25 per month for genre-specific pages, or $50 per month for the REC TV homepage.

REC TV currently does not accept banner ads.
